Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions
Everything you should know before your appointment — from booking to healing.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. We work by appointment so Joss can prepare your design and set aside the right amount of time. Walk-ins are only possible when there is a last-minute cancellation.
What should I bring or prepare for my first tattoo?
Bring a valid ID, wear comfortable clothes that give easy access to the area you want tattooed, eat a good meal beforehand and stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your session.
How is the price calculated?
Every tattoo is priced individually based on size, placement, detail and the time needed. We do not display fixed prices online because a small, simple design and a large realistic piece need very different amounts of work. Send us your idea on WhatsApp for a personal quote.
Can you tattoo every style?
Yes — we can tattoo almost every style and any design you have in mind. From Realistic, Micro Realistic, Portrait and Colour to Black & Grey, Fine Line, Lettering, Japanese, Maori & Polynesian, Anime and Cover-up. If you can imagine it, we can usually ink it. Send us your idea and we will advise you.
How do I take care of a new tattoo?
Keep the dressing on for the time Joss recommends, then wash gently with fragrance-free soap, pat dry and apply a thin layer of recommended aftercare cream. Avoid soaking, sun, swimming and heavy sweating until the skin has healed.
Can I get a cover-up or rework of an old tattoo?
Yes. Joss specialises in cover-ups and reworks. Send us a clear photo of the existing tattoo and describe what you would like instead. Not every piece can be covered, but we will be honest about what is possible.
